INSTRUCTIONS

PANSY DOILY
>From Timeless K-LaceŽ stitch:
1 doily

>From Baskets of K-LaceŽ stitch:
10 pansy3ps
20 pansy1ps
10 pleafb, if leaves are desired.

Stitch the single petals to the bottom of the 3-petal designs to create pansies according to instructions. Any pansy colors may be used. In stitching the multi-colored doily above, the following Madeira Rayon colors were used.

1021, 1174
1320, 1222
1334, 1122
1281, 1382
1181, 1385
and 1051 (green) for the leaves).

Stitch pansies to the edge of the doily spacing evenly as shown in our picture. You can stitch by hand or machine. If stitching by machine, you will want to leave the designs in the water-soluble stabilizer, and stitch with a zig-zag. Stitch each pansy to the pansy next to it, where the petals meet. Add the leaves as shown, if desired. Steam press, with doily face down on a soft surface.

If you have a large hoop and software to create arrangements, you may arrange the 10 3-petal designs around the Timeless doily and stitch this as one design. Stitch the 20 single petals separately and stitch them to the doily as described, then add the leaves.

RUFFLED DOILY
>From More Baskets of K-LaceŽ stitch:
1 rbasket5
6 rbasket9
or if you have a large hoop
3 rbasket9m

Construct ruffle according to instructions -- the same as making the basket ruffle. Instead of stitching it to the basket side, stitch it to the basket bottom. Arrange evenly and give it a little shot of steam to encourage it to stay in place. Stitching the doily together is most easily done by hand. But if you prefer machine stitching, you may stitch each joining point with a zig-zag at zero stitch length.
