Dianne's Candles

Dianne Gleaton was inspired by Elizabethan Reflections to try stitching our jewel designs on heavy water-soluble stabilizer (such as AquaFilm or Romeo) instead of fabric. After cutting closely around the stitched design, she dampened the stabilizer and used Tacky Glue to attach the design to the side of the candle. The lace edging from Special Effects II was also applied with Tacky Glue. For the candles shown, she used 2 layers of Romeo.

Dianne writes: "...the designs could be changed for different seasons, holidays , occasions. I used a 6" candle, it has 3wicks. When it burns, it does not get to the outside edges, so the lace will stay intact. Would make great gifts.  I am going to try your poinsettias with metallic on a green candle. So many of your designs would lend well to this, all of the lace borders. Wouldn't it be pretty for a bridal shower using white Cotty. So many ideas...."

Way to go, Dianne! Many thanks!
