Judy Savela is the designer of this gorgeous seasonal pillow, which was featured in the June/July 2002 issue of Designs in Machine Embroidery. Instructions for making the pillow and making and attaching roses from the Rosalie Collection are included in the article. Another use for our lace flowers!

Judy also stitched this beautiful variation on the Maggie Vest, incorporating designs from Romantic K-Lace®. She wrote that she "lengthened it a bit - though not as long as the original". She used English Cotton Netting as the base fabric. The lace motifs were stitched using Mettler Silk finish thread in the bobbin, and on top she used tones from ecru to a coffee color.

Second row:

Judy's Surprise Vintage Linen Peacock Vest uses Solar Active thread for the peacock designs. The vest showcases a vintage hand embroidered peacock on the back that was cut from a pillowcase and incorporated. Using the solar active thread for the peacock elements adds an element of surprise! Judy made a few sets of the elements in the 4 colors of solar active thread. Shots are shown both indoors and out. Peacock Collection II is available here.

The Victorian Christmas Wreath was featured in in the Sept./Oct. 2005 issue of Designs in Machine Embroidery magazine. It was chosen for their holiday gift subscription photo as well. The ornament cover from Holiday K-Lace® was used for this project.
