LACE MAT
finished size 18"x24"
.dst format

For the main part of the placemat I used "Antique Reflections K-Lace",
(Lsquare4) 120 squares
"Jacobean Reflections K-Lace" (Blsquar4) 4 squares

For the border, I used "Timeless K-Lace" (Cborder) 38 pieces

There was a total of 10 hoopings for the Husqvarna Designer1 using the
MegaHoop. For the stabilizer, I used
badgemaster.

I used 1 spool of Robison-Anton (5500yds) 40wt rayon thread

To customize, I would first set up my smallest hoop. I brought in 2 (Lsquare4)
squares.
I lined then up in a strip, lining the edges of each, on top of the one above.
(Zooming in real tight to view).
Once all looked good, I combined and saved. I now switch to my large hoop. I
can now copy and paste the 2 squares and place the edges on the set above. I
was able to get 6 squares, all lengthwise, in the large hoop using a hoop size
of 150x240. You may get more depending on what machine you use.

Combine and save. Once saved, copy and paste the 6 squares and place them to
the right of the existing 6 squares. Now you can line these up right over the
edge of the first set. Remember to always zoom in to make sure all line up
correctly. To make it a little easier, you can change all the squares to
different colors. Once
everything lines up, combine. Now move the whole set over to the right as much
as possible, this
will save on stabilizer. Combine once more and save. Now you can change all
the squares to
one color and color sort if you have a color sort program.

This way of customizing should work for all machines. Just lay the edges on
top of each other and put as many as you can in your hoop. Remember to bring
the design as far to the right as possible to save on stabilizer. You should
be able to get 4 hoopings out of one width 30" by the height size of your
hoop.

For those that have the Husqvarna MegaHoop, you might want to continue with
the directions below.

For the bottom part of this set, if you own the Designer1 and use the MegaHoop,
continue to use the large hoop. Bring in the 2 squares you saved earlier and
add 1 more (Lsquare4). Do the same type of lining up as you
did before. Now you have 3 squares. Combine and save. Copy and paste and line
the 2 sets up,
one on top of the other. Combine one more time and drag over to the right of
the screen. Combine
and save. Be sure to color sort this one too. Now you have 2 sets to put into
the MegaHoop.

First bring up the 3 position hoop. This makes it easier to place. Bring in
the first set of 6 squares then the set of 3 squares. Position the 6 squares
so it just fits within the P1 position then position the 3 squares on top of
that. You can always hit combine to see if you get the P1 and the P3
positions. If it is correct, change the hoop to the whole MegaHoop and combine
one more time. Color sort once more and save.

It will now sew the whole top section at once then it will tell you to move the
hoop to the P3
position to continue stitching. This will give you a double strip of 9 squares
with a total of 18 squares.
