Cherie's Ornament Covers (added 1/31/03)

Here are some great dolls Cherie Buntine has made, and since K-Lace® played a part, she sent photos. Click the images for larger views.

Here's what Cherie wrote about the exquisite creations above:

Estelle: I made this doll as a Christmas Gift for a Co-worker in exchange for a beautiful hand cross stitched picture of 3 fairies. The dress for the doll was made using mauve satin for the dress.

Batiste for lining of top skirt. Broadcloth for under skirt. I used Crinoline and 3 layers of lace for the slip to keep the skirts looking full. Embroidery designs are from Romantic K-Lace®. I used

Sulky thread for the embroidery designs. The doll has porcelain head, shoulderplate, arms and legs and her body are cloth.

Raggedy Ann and Andy: I made the Raggedy Ann and Andy as my last doll projects because my teacher retired. That makes me very sad. They are both all porcelain. The fabric used for both dolls is cotton. The embroidery design on Ann's pinafore is a built in stitch on the Designer 1 and on Cassette D on the 1+. The bow in Ann's hair is roll hemmed on the serger. The lace on the dress was stitched out from K-Lace® for Christmas.

Thanks so much for sharing these with us, Cherie! Beautiful work!
